Rewa striker John Orobulu had an impressive performance, scoring five goals in their commanding 7-0 win over Sigatoka Electric/Nadroga Auto Marine Upholstery Nadroga during the opening match of the FMF Inter-District Championship (IDC) at Churchill Park in Lautoka. His outstanding display earned him the player of the match honors.

The Rewa team secured their first three points of the tournament, leading 4-0 at halftime. Orobulu scored two quick goals early on, with Asivorosi Rabo and Epeli Valevou contributing to the scoreline. In the second half, Rewa continued to dominate, culminating in Orobulu achieving a hat-trick.

After the match, Orobulu attributed the victory to strong teamwork and dedication. “It was hard work and teamwork that awarded us our first win. Our plan for the next game is to keep working hard and take it one game at a time,” he stated.

Nadroga’s head coach Viliame Toma acknowledged his team’s effort in spite of the defeat, remarking that Rewa outperformed them. “The boys gave their best; it was Rewa’s day today, but we can’t complain. We just need to focus on doing our best in the next round,” he commented.

Nadroga is set to compete against Ba today at 4 PM, while Rewa will face off against Nadi at 6 PM.
