A group of former FijiFirst party members are setting the stage to form a new political party called the G16, aiming to contest the 2026 general election in Fiji. This move, announced by Opposition Leader Inia Seruiratu at the Suva Business Centre, is positioned as a response to the perceived failings of the current government led by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, which the G16 members describe as chaotic and laden with scandals.
