A group of former members of the FijiFirst party is in the process of forming a new political party called the G16, aiming to contest the 2026 general elections in Fiji. The announcement was made by Opposition Leader Inia Seruiratu during a press conference at the Suva Business Centre. The G16 members believe they can provide a substantial alternative to the current government, which they describe as “chaotic and scandal-ridden” under Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.
