A man has been arrested and is now in custody on charges of receiving stolen property. On Friday, officers from the Southern Division operations team executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence in Cunningham, where they discovered and confiscated various electronic items and valuables believed to have been stolen.
Assistant Commissioner of Police – Operations (ACP) Livai Driu stated that the ongoing investigations are aimed at identifying individuals who receive stolen goods in an effort to reduce theft and robbery incidents. ACP Driu emphasized that thieves often target easily resalable items such as mobile phones, tablets, smartwatches, laptops, and jewelry, and that individuals involved in such activities are being closely monitored by the police.
The suspect is currently being held at the Nabua Police Station.
