The OFC U-16 Women’s Championship is set to begin tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, featuring eight teams from the Oceania region competing for two places at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup next year in Morocco. This championship is significant due to the World Cup’s expansion to 24 teams and consists of two groups.

Group A includes Fiji, Tonga, Cook Islands, and Samoa, while Group B consists of New Zealand, New Caledonia, Tahiti, and the Solomon Islands. The tournament will lead to a thrilling conclusion, with the winners of Group A facing the runners-up from Group B in the semi-finals on September 18.

The winners of these semi-final matches will earn spots in the World Cup and advance to compete for the OFC U-16 Women’s Championship title in the final on September 21.
