The Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) will host the 2025 OFC Men’s Champions League, a change from the previous plan to have Fiji as the venue. Fiji’s HFC Bank Stadium and Churchill Park in Lautoka are currently booked for Fijian Drua matches, prompting the switch.

The tournament is scheduled to run from March 29 to April 13 and will take place in Honiara, featuring matches at both the National Stadium and Lawson Tama Stadium. The draw for the eight competing teams from across Oceania is set for December 11, with last year’s champions, Auckland City, looking to defend their title. This year, Rewa will represent Fiji after winning the Digicel Premier League.

In a positive light, relocating the tournament to the Solomon Islands provides an opportunity for the local football community to showcase its facilities and hospitality, potentially boosting the sport’s development in the region. The presence of international teams will also inspire local players and fans, fostering a greater love for the game.
