Odisha FC Stumbles in ISL Opener Despite Krishna’s Effort

Fijian Captain Roy Krishna’s late goal could not salvage a victory for Odisha FC, who fell to Chennaiyin FC in their opening match of the 2024-25 Indian Super League at Kalinga Stadium. Odisha FC initially took the lead when Diego Mauricio converted a penalty. However, in the second half, Chennaiyin equalized before quickly taking a 2-1 lead in just two minutes, with Farukh Choudhary netting two goals. Debutant Daniel Chima Chukwu then added to Chennaiyin’s advantage. Although Krishna scored in the final moments of the game, it was not enough to change the outcome. Odisha FC is set to compete against Punjab FC in their next match.
