The New Zealand women’s sevens rugby team is poised to lead Pool A in the upcoming Na Iri women’s division at the Shangri-La Yanuca Island tournament, set to take place in Fiji. Competing alongside them are the Drua women’s team, Nataleira 7s champions Tagimoucia Ranadi, and Bilo Bar Aflame women’s team.

As the top-seeded team, New Zealand is gearing up to face all challengers on their quest for the trophy. Likewise, the tournament features a robust lineup of talent in Pool B with teams such as Mt Masada, Tuva women’s, Ezers Rugby, and Lava City women’s rugby. Meanwhile, Pool C comprises the Seahawks, Pacific Nomads, Lilian Amazons, and Kadavu women’s teams.

Kickoff is scheduled for next Thursday at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka, with the tournament concluding on Saturday.
