The Labasa football club North-pole emerged victorious in the 2024 Cecil’s National Club Championship (NCCC), earning $4,000. They secured their win against Buiduna with a score of 6-3 in a match held at the Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) grounds.

The first half of the game was tightly contested, ending in a 2-2 tie. However, North-pole took control in the second half, with Melvin Mani scoring the go-ahead goal in the 55th minute, followed by Christopher Wasasala, who added another goal just six minutes later. On the other hand, despite the defeat, Buiduna club achieved a significant milestone by reaching their first NCCC final. Their journey included a 2-1 win over Rewa’s Nakasi Police, a narrow 1-0 victory against Lautoka’s rivals, and a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Nadroga’s Downtown, which helped them advance to the final. For their efforts, they received $1,000.
