Former Nasinu representative Nitan Kumar scored the only goal for Rewa Masters in their veterans over 40s final against Nadi Masters during the APCO Coatings/RC Manubhai tournament at HFC Bank Stadium, Suva.
Kumar’s decisive goal came when the Nadi keeper failed to secure the ball in time. Both teams had scoring opportunities, but it was Rewa who capitalized to score.
“Last month we secured the Uprising Tournament and this month again BO, I’m thankful to our players and their families,” said skipper Sudeshwar Ram.
Kumar also took home the Golden Boot award after netting four goals. Tomasi Tuivuna of Rewa Masters won the Golden Glove, Peter Cecil received the Golden Ball, and Rewa Masters earned the Fair Play award.
Rewa Masters won $3000, while Nadi Masters received $1000 for reaching the final.
