Former Nadi and national football star Eswa Nadan, affectionately known as “Ninja,” is set to lead the AuFFI All Stars in the upcoming Flick Hygiene Pacific Community Cup, commencing Thursday at Churchill Park in Lautoka. Nadan’s primary objective is to secure the team’s first-ever championship title.

In an interview, Nadan expressed confidence in their preparations for the four-day tournament. As the host team, he emphasized the importance of meeting expectations and performing at their best. “This year, we are adopting a different mindset for the tournament, aiming to win every match. Although we’ve fallen short in previous years, we have worked diligently to ensure our preparations represent a marked improvement,” he remarked.

Nadan highlighted the efforts of the AuFFI President, Nick Sharma, in assembling a strong squad, alongside his manager, Moshin Javed Nabi, who has been instrumental in recruiting top guest players. The team boasts a well-rounded mix of young talent and seasoned players, with several bringing National Premier League (NPL) experience to the field.

Nadan assured fans that they can expect high-quality football from the AuFFI All Stars, as each match will be approached with seriousness and determination to win. Additionally, he mentioned that the team will announce its captain on the day of the first match against Navua, scheduled to kick off at 6:15 PM.
