A violent altercation outside a well-known nightclub in Suva has resulted in six individuals being hospitalized, with two of them currently in a state of unconsciousness. Authorities from the police department have stated that these two individuals are receiving care at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital, alongside a third person who is reported to be in stable condition.

In addition, three other individuals injured in the brawl have been admitted to Sigatoka Hospital, where they are also reported to be stable. It is believed that some of the participants in the altercation are affiliated with a Rugby League club from Sigatoka, who had held their awards ceremony in Suva the day before the incident.

Livai Driu, Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, has assured the public that the police team in the Central Division is diligently investigating the situation and identifying those involved in the brawl.

This incident highlights the challenges associated with nightlife and social gatherings, serving as a reminder of the importance of maintaining safety and decorum in such environments. As investigations continue, there is hope that the outcomes will promote a stronger community dialogue around conflict resolution and the promotion of peaceful conduct in social settings.
