A violent altercation outside a well-known nightclub in Suva has resulted in six individuals requiring hospitalization, with two currently in unconscious condition. Authorities have specified that these two patients are being treated at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva, alongside a third individual who is reported to be stable. Meanwhile, three others are receiving care at Sigatoka Hospital, all of whom are also said to be in stable condition.

The incident is believed to involve participants associated with a Rugby League club from Sigatoka, which held its awards ceremony in Suva the previous day.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, has indicated that the police force in the Central Division is dedicated to investigating the incident and apprehending those responsible.

This unfortunate event highlights the ongoing challenges of ensuring safety in nightlife settings, but it also underscores the commitment of local law enforcement to maintain public safety.
