Alemoh Moses Alfred, an international player hailing from Nigeria, recently had a remarkable experience at the Dayal’s Sawmillers National Club Championship 2025 held in Fiji. Representing Ba’s 4R FC, Alemoh faced off against Northpole FC from Labasa in the championship final, which concluded with a 3-0 loss for his team at the Fiji FA Academy Ground in Vatuwaqa on Sunday.
Despite the defeat, Alemoh reflected positively on the competition, describing the match as both challenging and exhilarating. He acknowledged the skills of the Northpole FC players, recognizing their well-earned victory. “The competition was great; it was a tough final. We were unfortunate not to win, but it was an awesome game,” he stated. Alemoh highlighted the unpredictable nature of sports and the role luck plays in outcomes, reiterating his team’s commitment and determination to give their best.
“We will keep our heads up and hopefully return next year to do better and win the competition,” he declared. Alemoh expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to compete in Fiji, praising the management team and fellow players for their support throughout the tournament.
He also noted the differences in the level of football between Fiji and Nigeria, expressing a keen desire for more game time in Fiji to showcase African football talent. “With the level of competition between my country and Fiji, I can say Fiji is higher. I would always love to have more game time here and show how Africans play football,” he remarked.
As the championship concluded, Northpole FC walked away with a prize of $4,000, while 4R FC received $1,500. Overall, Alemoh’s experience reflects the spirit of sportsmanship and the ambition to continue improving and representing African talent on an international stage.
