NFA Staff to Get First Pay Raise in Six Years!

The National Fire Authority (NFA) has recently announced a 20 percent increase in wages and salaries for its operational staff. This raise is notable as it is the first adjustment since 2017.

Minister for Local Government, Maciu Nalumisa, emphasized the significance of this pay increase in acknowledging and supporting the essential contributions of NFA employees. He stated that the initiative aims to reward the dedication and commitment of staff towards the authority’s operational goals.

Nalumisa added that the government is focused on empowering staff, providing technical training, and advancing the development of firefighters. He noted that the NFA is forming strategic partnerships to enhance service delivery, promote knowledge sharing, and improve technical capabilities.
