NFA Staff Celebrate First Pay Raise in Six Years!

The National Fire Authority (NFA) has recently announced a 20 percent increase in wages for its operational staff. This marks the first salary raise since 2017, when the last adjustment was made.

Minister for Local Government, Maciu Nalumisa, emphasized the significance of this pay enhancement as a means of acknowledging and supporting the critical work performed by NFA employees.

According to Mr. Nalumisa, the initiative aims to reward the dedication shown by the authority and its workforce, reinforcing their commitment to the organization’s operational goals. He stated, “The government is focused on staff empowerment, technical training, and development for our firefighters.”

Additionally, Mr. Nalumisa mentioned that the NFA is pursuing strategic partnerships to improve service delivery, share knowledge, and enhance technical capabilities.
