NFA Employees Celebrate First Pay Raise in Six Years!

The National Fire Authority (NFA) has recently announced a 20 percent wage increase for its operational staff, marking the first salary adjustment since 2017. Minister for Local Government, Maciu Nalumisa, emphasized the significance of this raise in acknowledging the vital contributions of NFA employees.

Mr. Nalumisa explained that the initiative aims to recognize the dedication of the authority and its workforce, ensuring they receive fair compensation for their commitment to operational plans. He added that the government is focused on staff empowerment, providing technical training, and enhancing the development of firefighters.

Additionally, the NFA is pursuing strategic partnerships to improve service delivery, share knowledge, and strengthen technical expertise.
