NFA Announces First Pay Raise in Six Years: What You Need to Know!

The National Fire Authority (NFA) has announced a 20 percent salary increase for its operational staff, marking the first pay raise since 2017. Minister for Local Government, Maciu Nalumisa, emphasized the significance of this adjustment in acknowledging the valuable contributions of NFA employees.

Nalumisa stated that the initiative aims to recognize the diligent work of the authority and its personnel, ensuring they receive fair compensation for their dedication to the NFA’s operational strategies. He also noted the government’s commitment to staff empowerment, including technical training and development for firefighters.

Furthermore, Nalumisa highlighted that NFA is pursuing strategic partnerships to enhance service delivery, promote knowledge sharing, and improve technical expertise.
