The Pacific Tourism Organisation is set to host its annual South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE) at the newly opened Crowne Plaza Fiji in Nadi next year. The 9th edition of SPTE is scheduled for May 9-10, following the successful SPTE 2024 event previously held at the Sheraton Fiji Resort and Spa on Denarau.

SPTO’s chief executive officer, Christopher Cocker, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming event, emphasizing their commitment to promoting collaboration and innovation within the Pacific tourism sector. Cocker stated, “Our goal is to create an exceptional experience for our members and stakeholders, one that drives meaningful connections and sustainable growth across the region.”

While the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa has been confirmed as the venue, Cocker noted that they are working meticulously to ensure all logistical details are well-coordinated for the best experience of participants.

The SPTE is an essential platform for tourism operators, wholesalers, and stakeholders to connect, collaborate, and present the diverse offerings of the Pacific islands. Cocker highlighted that the event offers a unique chance for tourism industry stakeholders to come together and explore new opportunities for collaboration and growth.

As preparations for SPTE 2025 continue, stakeholders can look forward to accessing resources on the event website in the upcoming months to aid their participation.
