Rob Rush, the second son of the iconic New Zealand Sevens player Eric Rush, has officially joined the All Blacks Sevens team in Cape Town. His addition comes after the team faced a setback with the loss of two seasoned players, Joe Webber and Andrew Knewstubb, during their recent 14-0 defeat to Argentina in the bronze medal playoff of the Dubai Sevens.

Rob will step in for Webber, while Fletcher Carpenter will take Knewstubb’s place. This development has generated excitement among New Zealand fans, who are eager to watch Rob play alongside his brother, Brady, during the tournament.

The All Blacks Sevens are set to face the USA Sevens in their opening match at 11:54 PM tonight, followed by a clash against France Sevens at 3:35 AM on Sunday morning.

As Rob Rush makes his entry into the professional arena, it signifies not only a continuation of the Rush family’s legacy in rugby but also the potential for fresh talent to shine on the international stage. Fans are hopeful that this new chapter will lead to impressive performances from the All Blacks Sevens.
