Lydiane Mucunabitu celebrated the arrival of her baby girl, Charlotte Mucunabitu, who was born on January 1 at 12:34 AM, making her the first newborn of the year at Lautoka Hospital. Baby Charlotte weighed in at 3.65 kilograms, bringing immense joy to her mother.

Ms. Mucunabitu recounted her experience of being initially admitted to the hospital and then discharged on New Year’s Eve. After feeling tired and resting at home, she experienced intense contractions, prompting a swift return to the hospital. Due to the circumstances, a caesarean section was necessary for the delivery.
