Former members of the FijiFirst party are taking steps to establish a new political entity ahead of the 2026 general election, now referred to as the G16. This announcement was made by Opposition Leader Inia Seruiratu during a media session at the Suva Business Centre. The G16 aims to provide a substantial alternative to the current government, which they claim is marred by “chaos and scandals” under Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.
