The Public Service Commission, with the Prime Minister’s endorsement, has confirmed Dr. Raijeli Taga as the new Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister. Dr. Taga, who previously served as the Permanent Secretary for Lands and Mineral Resources, brings a wealth of experience to her new role.
Chairman of the PSC, Luke Rokovada, highlighted Dr. Taga’s background as a trained scientist with a Doctorate in Mining Engineering. Her extensive career includes ascending through the ranks in the Department of Mineral Resources, where she served as Director for five years before becoming Permanent Secretary.
Rokovada also emphasized Dr. Taga’s commitment to nurturing young talent, noting her passion for mentoring and helping graduates achieve professional qualifications.
