Colonel Eko Pur Indriyanto, the newly appointed Indonesian defence attaché to Fiji, conducted a courtesy visit to Major-General Ro Jone Kalouniwai, the Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, on December 11, 2024. This visit took place at the Strategic Headquarters located on Berkley Crescent.

Upon his arrival at the Strategic Headquarters, Colonel Indriyanto was received with a quarter guard before engaging in an official discussion with Major-General Kalouniwai. Following this meeting, he paid a visit to Brigadier General Onisivoro Covunisaqa, the Commander of Land Forces, at Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Nabua.

This visit was significant as it marked Colonel Indriyanto’s first official engagements since taking up his role as the Indonesian Defence Attaché to Fiji.

This development is a positive indication of strengthening military and diplomatic ties between Indonesia and Fiji, signaling cooperation and mutual respect in defense matters.
