Colonel Eko Pur Indriyanto, the newly appointed Indonesian Defence Attaché to Fiji, recently made a courtesy visit to Major-General Ro Jone Kalouniwai, the Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, on December 11, 2024. This visit took place at the Strategic Headquarters in Berkley Crescent, where Colonel Indriyanto was given a formal reception with a quarter guard upon his arrival.

Following this meeting, he also met with Brigadier General Onisivoro Covunisaqa, the Commander Land Forces, at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Nabua. This visit was significant as it was Colonel Indriyanto’s first official engagement since taking on his role as Defence Attaché.

The interaction between the military leaders is a positive step towards strengthening the defense ties and cooperation between Indonesia and Fiji, fostering goodwill and enhancing mutual understanding in regional security matters.
