Pacific Specialist Healthcare Hospital in Legalega Nadi is leading the way in healthcare innovation with the opening of its new three-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This facility has been established to serve critically ill patients in the private sector within the Western corridor.
The ICU aims to provide essential care for critically ill tourists who require multi-organ support, advanced intensive care, stabilization, and preparation for medical repatriation back to their home countries. Dr. Ratu Vereniki Raiwalui, a staff consultant intensivist and consultant anesthesiologist at the hospital, noted that this service will complement the perioperative and surgical services already available at PSH Specialist Hospital.
In addition to the ICU, the development also includes vital services for open-heart procedures without the use of a pump. Over the past two weeks, PSH Private Specialists’ Hospital has introduced 24-hour General Practitioner services for local communities in the Western corridor, catering to all hotels and surrounding islands in the Yasawa and Mamanuca regions.
PSH Specialist Hospital offers a wide range of services, including emergency support, elective surgical services, perioperative anesthetic services, advanced diagnostic facilities, cardiovascular and interventional cardiology services, obstetrics and gynecology services, and is soon to introduce ophthalmology and pediatric services.
