A new 40-room hotel developed by Damodar Group is set to transform tourism and accommodation in Labasa town. He emphasized that this investment signifies the company’s dedication to boosting Labasa’s tourism prospects, which have substantial untapped potential.
The Ramada Encore by Wyndham hotel will feature 40 well-equipped rooms tailored to meet the needs of both business and leisure visitors. Facilities will include a conference area, swimming pool, gym, outdoor sitting space, entertainment areas, restaurants, and bars, all designed to deliver a premium accommodation experience in line with the global standards of the Ramada Encore brand.
Looking to the future, Damodar mentioned opportunities for various tourism ventures in Labasa, including hiking tours, river safaris, and fishing excursions.
Manoa Kamikamica, Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, acknowledged the significance of the Ramada Encore hotel as Labasa’s first international brand hotel, emphasizing the Fijian Government’s commitment to ongoing investment and development in Labasa and Vanua Levu.
