New Hospital Set to Boost Community Health in Tailevu

The new community center in Dago, Nananu, Tailevu, was officially opened today by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, marking a significant milestone since the project’s inception in 2017. The government of New Zealand has supported this initiative by providing funding of $472,895, aimed at enhancing hospital facilities and services.

This center is expected to benefit approximately 8,000 residents from the Dawasamu, Namena, and Sawakasa areas of Vualiku and Tailevu, offering essential health services. Prime Minister Rabuka emphasized the importance of safeguarding community health through accessible services provided at the center.

Moreover, the establishment of this facility will also improve health services for students from Ratu Kadavulevu School and Queen Victoria School, contributing to the well-being of the local education community.

Charlotte Darlow, representing the New Zealand government, reiterated their commitment to continue supporting Fiji in improving public health services through this new facility.
