The new health center in Dago, Nananu, Tailevu, was inaugurated this week by the Prime Minister of Fiji, Sitiveni Rabuka, following its completion in 2017. The facility has received significant support from the New Zealand government, which provided nearly $472,895 to enhance the hospital and its services.
Approximately 8,000 local residents from the Dawasamu, Namena, and Sawakasa areas in Tailevu will benefit from the services offered at this health center. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of safeguarding the well-being of citizens and ensuring that health services are accessible to them.
This health center is expected to improve healthcare delivery, particularly for nearby schools including Ratu Kadavulevu School and Queen Victoria School, by providing essential medical services to students in the region.
