The inauguration of a new healthcare facility took place this week in Dago, Nananu, Tailevu, led by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka. This new health center is supported by the New Zealand government, which has generously contributed $472,895 to enhance the hospital and its services.
Approximately 8,000 residents from the Dawasamu, Namena, and Sawakasa regions in Vualiku and Tailevu will benefit from the services offered at this new facility. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of safeguarding the health and well-being of the community through improved medical services.
The new health center is expected to provide numerous advantages, including better healthcare access for students from Ratu Kadavulevu School and Queen Victoria School, as well as other nearby educational institutions.
Charlotte Darlow, representing New Zealand, reaffirmed her government’s ongoing commitment to assisting Fiji in improving its healthcare services, which are crucial for the community’s welfare.
