New Health Facility for Tailevu: A Boost for Community Wellbeing

A new healthcare facility has been officially opened in Dago, Nananu, Tailevu, with the ceremony attended by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, following its completion in 2017. This initiative has received backing from the New Zealand government, which provided funding of $472,895 to enhance medical services and facilities.

Approximately 8,000 residents from the Dawasamu, Namena, and Sawakasa regions will benefit from the services offered at the new healthcare center. Prime Minister Rabuka emphasized the importance of ensuring the health and well-being of citizens through reliable healthcare services.

The new facility is expected to improve access to health services not just for the local community but also for students from nearby schools such as Ratu Kadavulevu School and Queen Victoria School.

New Zealand continues to support Fiji by providing essential services to ensure the well-being of its citizens, with a representative expressing commitment to ongoing assistance in strengthening healthcare delivery in the region.
