Spread the love

Deputy Prime Minister Manoa Kamikamica has announced that the upcoming regulations for the new glue law will fall under the Education Ministry. Contrary to earlier expectations, the law will not be developed as separate legislation.

Kamikamica expressed urgency in implementing the law, emphasizing that the government is eager to address the serious issue of glue sniffing. He mentioned that the government is currently awaiting finalization from the solicitor general’s office to proceed with the necessary regulations.

The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the importance of following all legal protocols prior to moving forward. He acknowledged the public’s eagerness for effective measures to be put in place to combat glue abuse and stated that the new law would provide necessary guidelines regarding the use of glue.

This initiative represents a proactive step by the government to mitigate substance abuse among vulnerable populations, particularly youth. As this law is developed, it could play a crucial role in fostering a safer and healthier environment for communities.

Overall, while the process may be slower than some would hope, it is reassuring to see the government taking a careful and considered approach toward such an important public health issue.
