Twenty-two enthusiastic referees, including three women, are currently taking part in a three-day OFC Basic Futsal Referees Course organized by the Fiji Football Association at the Fiji FA Academy in Vatuwaqa. This course aims to cultivate a new generation of well-trained futsal officials, ensuring the continued development and quality of refereeing standards in Fiji.
Led by seasoned instructor Jainud Dean, the course commenced on Friday and will conclude today. Avinesh Narayan, Fiji FA Referees Director, emphasized the importance of such programs in elevating the standards of futsal officiating throughout the nation. Participants are expected to complete a written exam and practical assessments to demonstrate their understanding and capabilities.
