Coach Osea Kolinisau has announced his 12-member squad for the upcoming SVNS Series, set to take place in Dubai and Cape Town. This squad features two debutants, Kavekini Tanivanuakula and George Bose, who are set to make their first appearances against formidable opponents such as New Zealand, the USA, and Spain in the Pool C matches in Dubai.
Veteran players, including Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Jerry Matana, Joji Nasova, Suliano Volivolituevei, Ilikimi Torosi, Terio Tamani, Pilipo Bukayaro, Ratu Filipe Sauturaga, Vuiviwa Naduvalo, and Iowane Teba, have also been selected, providing a strong backbone to the team.
However, some prominent players, including Waisea Nacuqu, Joseva Talacolo, Kaminieli Rasaku, and Manueli Maisamoa, will not be part of the competition.
The Dubai 7s is scheduled for 30 November to 1 December, followed by the Cape Town 7s on 7 and 8 December.
This selection showcases a blend of fresh talent and experienced players, indicating a promising strategy for the series. Fans can look forward to an exciting tournament as these athletes take the field, bringing both youthful energy and veteran wisdom to the competition.
