Coach Osea Kolinisau has revealed a 12-member squad for the first leg of the SVNS Series, set to take place in Dubai and Cape Town. Among the selected players are two newcomers, Kavekini Tanivanuakula and George Bose, who will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in matches against New Zealand, the USA, and Spain in Pool C in Dubai.
The team also features experienced players such as Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Jerry Matana, Joji Nasova, Suliano Volivolituevei, Ilikimi Torosi, Terio Tamani, Pilipo Bukayaro, Ratu Filipe Sauturaga, Vuiviwa Naduvalo, and Iowane Teba, providing a solid mix of youth and experience.
However, some notable players like Waisea Nacuqu, Joseva Talacolo, Kaminieli Rasaku, and Manueli Maisamoa will not be part of the squad this time.
The Dubai 7s tournament is scheduled for November 30 to December 1, followed by the Cape Town 7s on December 7 and 8.
This selection brings a sense of optimism as new talents step onto the international stage, indicating a promising future for the team. The blend of seasoned players and fresh faces could pave the way for exciting performances in the upcoming series.
