The newly appointed head coach of Ba’s football team, Ronil Kumar, has expressed his excitement as he prepares for the upcoming season. Kumar, who has a long-standing association with the Men in Black, having played for over 15 years, takes over from Timoci Seru, who struggled to secure any titles with the team last season.

Kumar, now 40 years old, stated, “As a true son of Ba, I am honored to mentor this team. I understand the responsibility and expectations that come with this role.” He recognizes the challenges ahead, noting that “building a winning team is not easy and will require hard work.”

Having recently completed his OFC B-License Coaching Course, Kumar feels optimistic about reversing the team’s fortunes, especially since Ba did not win any titles in 2024. He aims to harness the successes of past years to push the team to new heights in 2025. “I’m looking forward to working with the players to continue bringing out the best in them,” he added.

In a move indicative of his proactive approach, Ba has already commenced its preparations for the season with a training session under Kumar’s leadership. This early start suggests a commitment to improving both team dynamics and performance as they aim to regain their competitive edge in local football.

This appointment comes at a critical time for Ba, and while the road may be challenging, there is a renewed sense of hope among fans and players alike. Kumar’s extensive experience and leadership may serve as a catalyst for revitalizing the team’s performance, offering a glimmer of optimism for a successful season ahead.

Overall, the Ba football team’s future under Kumar’s guidance looks promising, signaling a fresh start with potential for renewed excellence in the league.
