Students at Rambisessar Chaudhary Memorial Primary School are set to benefit from improved learning conditions following a generous donation from Flour Mills of Fiji (FMF) Foods Ltd. Last week, the company provided 140 new desks and chairs to the school located in Sawani, aimed specifically at supporting Year 5 and 6 students.

The newly donated furniture is expected to create a more comfortable and productive learning environment. Anjani Ashika Singh, the warehouse manager of FMF Foods Ltd and the event’s chief guest, expressed the company’s excitement about establishing a partnership with the school. She emphasized that their contribution is focused on enhancing the learning atmosphere for the students.

“Our commitment to community service, especially in education and sports, is a testament to our dedication,” Ms. Singh remarked. The donation represents a pivotal development for the school, aiming to foster a better educational experience for its attendees.

Sanita Lal, the head of the school, praised FMF’s commitment to supporting education. “This donation not only improves the physical comfort of our students but also enriches the educational journey for each child who walks through our doors,” Mrs. Lal stated.

She noted that the new furniture will help students concentrate more on their studies, highlighting the importance of such partnerships in strengthening community bonds.

Marika Baleca, the senior education officer from Nausori, who attended the handover, also expressed gratitude to FMF for their support, stating that the new furniture would significantly boost students’ morale.
