A new champion will emerge at the 2024 Cecil’s National Club Championship as the defending titleholder, Ba Police, will not participate in this year’s tournament. The final groups have been confirmed following the draws conducted at the Fiji Football Association today.
This year, eight teams from various regions of Fiji will compete for the prestigious National Club Championship, featuring four teams from the West, one from the North, and three from the South.
In Group A, the lineup includes Downtown FC from Nadroga, Rivals FC from Lautoka, Buiduna FC from Naitasiri, and Nakasi Police FC from Rewa. Meanwhile, Group B showcases Flying Arrows FC from Ba, Blues FC from Nadi, Friends United FC from Nasinu, and the North Poles FC from Labasa, representing Vanua Levu.
The tournament is scheduled to take place over four days, starting on Thursday, December 5th, and concluding on Sunday, December 8th. The opening matches will be held at Ratu Cakobau Park, followed by additional games at the Fiji Football Association ground in Vatuwaqa.
This year’s championship promises to be an exciting competition, providing an opportunity for fresh talent to showcase their skills and for fans to rally behind their local teams.
