Once operational, it will offer food and beverages while serving as a venue for social gatherings and functions.

Khan emphasized the coffee shop as a new source of revenue for the council. He highlighted the unique dining experience it will provide amidst the serene environment of the botanical gardens, aiming to attract both locals and visitors. The council has also reissued a tender for experienced coffee shop or restaurant operators to run the venue, ensuring it meets the community’s high standards.

This initiative is part of a broader vision to enhance urban development in Lautoka, which includes multiple projects aimed at improving communal facilities. Additionally, the city’s plans for an Olympic-standard swimming pool and the redevelopment of Churchill Park signify a commitment to upgrading infrastructure and recreational opportunities for residents.
