Timoci Duve has been officially appointed as the Head Coach of the Kaiviti Silktails for the upcoming 2025 Jersey Flegg Cup season in the New South Wales Rugby League. Duve has been serving in a caretaker capacity for the Silktails since June, following the departure of former coach Wes Naiqama, who stepped down after a successful four-year tenure with the team.

Joining Duve in the coaching staff is Rusiate Ratukana, a former strength and conditioning coach as well as a captain of the Fiji Residents rugby Sevens team during the South Pacific Games. Ratukana returns as the assistant coach, bringing valuable experience to the role. Additionally, Joe Saukuru will serve as a technical advisor, acting as a crucial coaching link between the Silktails and their new feeder club, Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

This change in the coaching staff represents a new chapter for the Kaiviti Silktails as they prepare for the challenges ahead in the 2025 season. The combination of Duve’s vision, Ratukana’s experience, and Saukuru’s guidance could pave the way for a successful campaign.

Overall, this appointment showcases the commitment to nurturing talent and strengthening the team’s structure, making it an exciting period for the Silktails and their supporters. With a solid foundation in place, the team aims to elevate its performance and make a significant impact in the league.
