New Champion Awaits in 2024 National Club Championship

The 2024 Cecil’s National Club Championship is set to see a new victor, as the defending champion, Ba Police, will not participate this year. This decision follows the completion of group draws conducted by the Fiji Football Association today.

A total of eight teams from across Fiji will compete for the championship title, featuring a diverse representation that includes four teams from the Western region, one team from the North, and three teams from the Southern region.

In Group A, the teams include Downtown FC from Nadroga, Rivals FC from Lautoka, Buiduna FC hailing from Naitasiri, and Nakasi Police FC representing Rewa. Group B will feature Flying Arrows FC from Ba, Blues FC from Nadi, Friends United FC from Nasinu, and North Poles FC from Labasa, which represents Vanua Levu.

The tournament will take place over the course of a week, starting on Thursday, December 5th, and concluding on Sunday, December 8th. The initial matches will be held at Ratu Cakobau Park, with subsequent games taking place at the Fiji Football Association ground in Vatuwaqa.
