The Fijian Drua has announced the appointment of Josaia Moimoi as their new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Moimoi, hailing from Vanuabalavu in Lau, comes with over ten years of experience in the financial sector, which positions him well to contribute to the organization.
He takes over from Shafina Dean, the previous CFO, who has relocated to New Zealand to further her education. The Drua management expressed confidence in Moimoi’s capabilities, highlighting his impressive performance during a thorough recruitment process that featured both local and international candidates. They also acknowledged Dean’s valuable contributions during her tenure at the Drua.
Moimoi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Business Management, along with qualifications in Organizational Behavior from Brigham Young University (BYU) in Hawaii. Prior to his new role with the Drua, he worked as a Financial Management Specialist for the Embassy of the United States of America.
This leadership change marks an exciting new chapter for the Fijian Drua, as they continue to build a strong financial foundation. With Moimoi’s extensive experience and educational background, there is optimism that he will steer the club towards greater financial stability and success in the future.
