New categories are being introduced for this year’s Prime Minister’s International Business Awards, which will take place on Saturday, November 30 at the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort in Denarau Island, Nadi.
Businesses have until the end of the month to submit their applications for a total of 15 categories in the 2024 awards. Event organizer and Investment Fiji CEO Kamal Chetty announced the new categories, which include the Excellence in Employer Award, Excellence in Fisheries Award, Excellence in Forestry Award, and the Excellence in Yasana (Provincial) Aspiration Award.
Chetty expressed that the addition of these new categories expands the awards’ reach and allows for the recognition of outstanding achievements in important fields. This year’s event, themed “Business Innovation and Sustainability,” was officially launched last month, with organizers noting a strong response to application calls.
“The focus on innovation and sustainability this year reflects our commitment to promoting sustainable business practices that lead to success,” said Chetty. He noted their excitement about the number of first-time applicants sharing their success stories, emphasizing the significance of the event in highlighting innovation and excellence in the business sector.
Chetty urged businesses yet to apply to do so promptly to seize the opportunity for recognition and networking with industry leaders.
