Atu Moceisuva has officially taken on the role of Acting Commissioner of the Fiji Corrections Service, following the departure of Sevuloni Naucikidi, who had been temporarily fulfilling the duties due to the ongoing legal issues surrounding former Commissioner Dr. Jalesi Nakarawa. Naucikidi will transition back to his original position within the organization.

The announcement of Moceisuva’s appointment was made by President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu and communicated to the public by Minister for Justice Siromi Turaga. His new role is effective immediately.

Minister Turaga emphasized that Moceisuva’s leadership is crucial for maintaining continuity and ensuring the effective operation of the Corrections Service. He also expressed gratitude to Naucikidi for his dedication and service during his time in the acting role.

The Ministry is encouraging all officers within the Fiji Corrections Service to work collaboratively, upholding principles of unity, professionalism, and commitment to their duties. This call to cohesion is vital, ensuring the organization remains focused on its mission of rehabilitation and correctional support within the community.
