Labasa is set to welcome a new commercial office complex valued at $2.1 million. The project, initiated by Vinesh Dayal, managing director of VCORP Pte Limited, began last month.

The planned two-storey building will be situated on Sangam Avenue Street, directly across from the Sangam College of Nursing and Health Care Education in Labasa Town. Mr. Dayal, who also owns multiple businesses including LunchBox Restaurant Limited and Hotel North Pole, expressed the project’s aim is to provide local business operators with the opportunity to secure their own office spaces.

Led by an in-house construction team, the project is scheduled for completion by December, with office space expected to be available starting January 2025.

“This 600 square metre commercial complex will introduce a new brand from Viti Levu, enhancing the value of Labasa,” Mr. Dayal stated. He expressed strong confidence in the local economy and plans to continue creating job opportunities and investments in the area.

Mr. Dayal opined that Labasa has much to offer, encouraging people to explore the town’s development. He emphasized the transformative changes in Labasa and his role as president of the Labasa Chamber of Commerce and Industries to inspire future actions among members.
