Eight teams from the Central rally have earned their place in the 2024 Crest Fiji Secondary Schools Netball Finals, scheduled for August 21-23 at the National Netball Centre in Laucala, Suva.
FSSNA president Navitalai Naivalu noted the Central rally’s reputation for strong competition, with schools from Suva competing fiercely for a national spot. He highlighted the impressive talent and teamwork displayed, crediting the essential role teachers play in preparing these teams.
The qualifying teams for the nationals include Dudley High School, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School, William Cross College, Ballantine Memorial School, Saint Joseph Secondary School, and Yat Sen College. Notably, defending champions Suva Grammar will only participate in the U19 category, while Dudley High School has made history by qualifying in all grades for the first time.
As the competition intensifies, an exciting event is anticipated, with the potential for new champions to emerge. Fans are encouraged to support the teams and acknowledge the contributions of teachers and parents who have supported the players’ development in netball.
