The Financial Hub Super League will reach an exciting finale on October 12 at the FNU Gymnasium in Nasinu, featuring a face-off between Suva Swift’s IGA and Lautoka Stars.
This tournament has served as a significant platform for Fiji’s up-and-coming netball talent, and the final is expected to showcase a thrilling display of skill and competitiveness.
Suva Swift’s IGA has consistently led the league, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and securing their top position in the standings. Meanwhile, the Lautoka Stars aim to end their unbeaten streak and seize the championship title for themselves.
In addition to the main event, the tournament has offered valuable experience to all participating teams. The Baby Pearls Kacau will compete against Nasinu Tactix in the third-place playoff, while Nadroga Stallions will go up against Baby Pearls Kikau for fifth place. Additionally, Nadi and Tailevu Doves will battle it out for seventh place.
Vivian Koster, CEO of Netball Fiji, emphasized the importance of the league in developing new talent. “It has been a long but good league season where we have unearthed new talent and seen the continued growth of athletes,” Koster stated. She also recognized the critical role that the partnership with Finance Hub has played in allowing athletes to enhance their skills and compete at a high level, which positions them for future national team selections.
“Netball Fiji is always appreciative of the partnership with Finance Hub that has allowed our athletes to compete and put their case forward for selection into our national teams,” Koster added.
