The Financial Hub Super League will culminate on October 12 at the FNU Gymnasium in Nasinu, where the Suva Swift’s IGA will face the Lautoka Stars in the final match. This tournament has served as an important platform for emerging netball talent in Fiji, and the final is anticipated to showcase impressive skill and competitiveness.
Throughout the season, Suva Swift’s IGA has displayed remarkable teamwork and consistency, securing their position at the top of the leaderboard. Their opponents, the Lautoka Stars, will aim to end their unbeaten streak and claim the championship title.
In addition to the final, the tournament has provided essential experience for all participating teams. The Baby Pearls Kacau will compete against Nasinu Tactix in the third-place playoff, while Nadroga Stallions will face Baby Pearls Kikau for fifth place. Nadi and Tailevu Doves will also contend for seventh place.
Vivian Koster, CEO of Netball Fiji, emphasized the league’s importance in nurturing new talent. She stated, “It has been a long but good league season where we have unearthed new talent and seen the continued growth of athletes.”
Koster also acknowledged the crucial role of the partnership with Finance Hub, which has allowed athletes to enhance their skills and compete at a high level, preparing them for future national team selections. “Netball Fiji is always appreciative of the partnership with Finance Hub that has allowed our athletes to compete and make their case for selection into our national teams,” she added.
