The Financial Hub Super League is set to reach an exciting climax on October 12 at the FNU Gymnasium in Nasinu, where Suva Swift’s IGA will go head-to-head with Lautoka Stars in the final match. This tournament has served as a vital platform for the rising netball talents in Fiji, with the final expected to showcase exceptional skill and fierce competition.
Suva Swift’s IGA has been the standout team this season, demonstrating remarkable teamwork and consistency, which has helped them secure the top position in the league standings. However, the Lautoka Stars are determined to end their unbeaten streak and seize the championship title.
In addition to the championship match, the tournament has also provided invaluable experience for all participating teams. The Baby Pearls Kacau will compete against Nasinu Tactix for third place, while Nadroga Stallions and Baby Pearls Kikau will clash for the fifth position. Meanwhile, Nadi will face Tailevu Doves for seventh place.
Vivian Koster, CEO of Netball Fiji, emphasized the importance of the league in nurturing new talent. “It has been a long but rewarding league season where we have discovered new players and witnessed the ongoing development of our athletes,” she stated. Koster also expressed gratitude for the support from Finance Hub, which has been instrumental in providing athletes with the opportunity to refine their skills and compete at a high level, enhancing their chances for future national team selection. “Netball Fiji deeply appreciates the partnership with Finance Hub, allowing our athletes to compete and present their case for inclusion in our national teams,” Koster remarked.
