New Horizons for Netball Fiji: CEO and Head Coach Positions Open!

Netball Fiji Seeks New Leaders to Boost International Competitiveness

Netball Fiji has reopened applications for two key leadership roles: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and head coach of the national women’s team, the Pearls. These positions, initially announced on November 5, are critical to enhancing the country’s netball competitiveness on the international stage.

The head coach position requires applicants to possess international coaching experience and a proven history of working with elite athletes. The application window for this role is set to close at midnight on March 23. Interested candidates can send their applications to the Fiji Netball Association through the designated email.

In parallel, the CEO role demands a degree in Business Management along with at least five years of senior management experience, particularly with a strong financial background. Anyone interested in this position must submit a comprehensive CV and a cover letter addressed to the president of Netball Fiji by March 31, 2025.

Previously, Netball Fiji had only received interest from two overseas applicants for the head coach role, with plans for interviews by President RubyAnn Sorovaki. Additionally, four local candidates are being considered for the CEO position. This recruitment process follows the completion of terms by former CEO Vivian Koster and head coach Unaisi Rokoura last December.

In a progressive move, Netball Fiji has also announced new openings for a Development Coordinator and a Development Officer, focused on community engagement and program implementation. This reflects the organization’s dedication to fostering local talent and enhancing community involvement in netball.

Netball Fiji stands at a pivotal juncture as it seeks leaders who will contribute to the team’s success and growth, both in the short term and for the long-term development of netball in the country. It emphasizes a future-oriented approach, aiming to bolster Fiji’s presence in the international netball arena and ensuring sustainability in its sporting achievements.
